New Honda Jazz Launched at Rs 7.55 lakh

New Honda Jazz is a premium hatchback now gets only petrol engine and minimal design changes.

After lots of waiting Honda Cars India have finally launched their updated premium hatchback at a price of Rs 7.55 lakh. The Updated new Jazz will now be powered only by a BS6 petrol engine and offered in three trim levels: V, VX and an all-new ZX variant.

While the price of the New Jazz V manual variant has increased by around Rs 5,000 from the BS4 variant but the Jazz V CVT (entry-level) price is reduced by Rs 15,000. 

What’s on the New Honda Jazz?

Not much on the outside has changed on the updated New Jazz. It gets new LED headlights and new taillights,  new R15 alloy wheels and subtle changes on the front and rear bumpers.

Inside the main change is the addition of an all-new electric sunroof which is also segment-first(ZX Variant only), other changes are new fabric upholstery and soft-touch material on the dashboard from the VX trim onwards.

Honda Jazz will be offered in five colour options – Radiant Red Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic and Golden Brown Metallic.

Additional features that the top variant ZX trim gets are a 7.0-inch infotainment system( with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay standard), automatic climate control, rear parking camera, keyless entry and go, powered ORVMs(adjusting and folding), LED headlights and tail-lights and paddle shifters (CVT). 


Honda has also added features to the entry-level Honda Jazz V and VX trim. Some features that only CVT gearbox option got before are now available with the manual variant and that is the cruise control which is a standard feature across all the variants also the VX trim gets keyless entry and go as standard. Both the V and VX trims also gets LED DRLs.

In terms safety, all variants of Jazz gets dual SRS airbags, ABS with EBD and rear parking sensors.

New Honda Jazz Engine?

Honda Cars India equipped the new Jazz with only a petrol motor – 1.2 litres BS6 Petrol engine. The new petrol motor gets i-VTEC with SOHC and 4-valves per cylinder. This engine produces 90 Hp and 110 Nm of torque. Two gearbox options will be available- a 5 speed manual and a 7 speed CVT like the previous model. The ARAI claimed mileage of the manual Jazz is 16.6kmpl and the CVT variant is 17.1 kmpl.


The New Honda being a premium segment will compete mostly against the likes of Suzuki Swift, Hyundai i20 Elite, Tata Altroz, Volkswagen Polo TSI, Suzuki Baleno and Toyota Glanza. The Bookings for new Jazz had already begun from 10th of August 2020 with sum of Rs 10,000 on online portal Honda From Home and Rs 21,000 at Honda Cars India dealerships across the country. Jazz is also offered with 3-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty.
