India Spec 2021 Jeep Compass Facelift To be unveiled in India on January 7, 2021

2021 Jeep Compass facelift will be revealed on January 7, 2021 in India and it will feature a new interior and exterior like the one launched in the international market in November 2020.

 

 

  • The 2021 Jeep Compass facelift will get a new front design with LED headlights and new alloy wheels.

 

  • It will get a refreshed interior with more equipment than before.

 

  • Engine options will remain similar to the current-gen Jeep Compass which are a 2.0-liter turbo-diesel engine and a 1.4-liter turbo-petrol engine.

 

  • To get the new UConnect 5 infotainment system along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Andriod Auto.

 

2021 Jeep Compass Facelift Exterior Design

 

Talking about the design, the 2021 Jeep Compass facelift will get a totally new front design that includes new full LED Headlights with DRLs integrated into them, newly designed iconic seven-slated Jeep grille with honeycomb inserts in it, a newly designed front bumper with skid plates and new fog light housings built into the large air dam just below the grille. The SUV will also get newly designed large alloy wheels. At the rear, there will be not many changes but it will get a newly designed pair of LED taillights. These are the only changes that the New Jeep Compass facelift will get on the exterior and the rest of the design will be similar to the current model.

 

Interior Design

 

The major design change that the 2021 Jeep Compass facelift will get is a totally new revised interior design just like the international model. These changes include a new dashboard with double stitched leather inserts and brushed aluminium bits, a large floating type 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with FCAs lastest UConnect infotainment system which will also get Amazon Alexa Support along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Andriod Auto and get OTA (over-the-air) updates. The dashboard will also get newly designed AC vents and HVAC controls that will be positioned below the vents. The dashboard

 

The Compass facelift will also get a new sporty and slim three-spoke nice leather-wrapped steering wheel and a large and fully digital instrument console. The top-spec variants will also get large panoramic sunroof, sporty seats wrapped in premium materials.

 

2021 Jeep Compass Facelift Engine and gearbox Options

 

The Jeep Compass facelift that was launched in the international market comes with new engine options but the India-spec Jeep Compass facelift will be fitted with the same engines that power the current generation Compass. This means the 2021 Compass will come with same engine options like the outgoing model, a 2.0-litre diesel engine that makes 173 HP and 350 NM of torque and a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine that makes 163 HP and 250 NM of torque.

Both engines will be fitted to a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard. The Compass with petrol engine gets the option of a seven-speed DCT while the diesel Compass gets the option of a 9-speed torque converter automatic.

 

The Jeep Compass facelift will also geta Trailhawk variant just like the outgoing model but it will but will be offered later.

 

2021 Jeep Compass Facelift Rivals and Pricing.

 

Being a premium compact SUV the Jeep Compass facelift once launched will rival against the likes of Hyundai Tucson and Skoda Koraq and prices may start from Rs 15 Lakh Ex-showroom. 

 

Jeep is also working on new products for India and specially developing a new seven-seater SUV which will share the platform and engines with the Jeep Compass. This SUV will be launched later and it will be positioned above Compass to go up against the likes of MG Gloster, Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour.
