Ferrari has launched their GT supercar Roma in India today at Rs 3.76 crore, ex-showroom. The Ferrari Roma shows the Italian brand’s new design language with clean exterior and a more modern yet simple interior layout. Ferrari calls the Roma a 2+2 Sports-GT and was showcased to selected clients in Mumbai on Thursday.

  • Ferrari Roma is the latest entry-level Ferrari model in India

  • Built around Ferrari’s new design language

  • It is a front-mid engined 2+2 Sports-GT powered by a twin-turbo V8 engine

Unlike other Ferrari Models, the Roma features a clean design and doesn’t have any large vents or big wings to aid downforce. This new design language will also be visible on upcoming Ferrari models. At the front, the Roma gets slim LED headlights with integrated DRLs and a totally new grille design. There are no unwanted vents as sunch to give it a clean design. Other exterior features include quad-LED taillights, a quad-exhaust setup, and a small electronic boot spoiler.

Now coming to the interior of the Roma sports it also gets a completely new design and this new design will be carried forward with upcoming Ferrari Models. The designers have given the cabin two separate cells, one for the driver and one for the passenger. The dashboard features three screens in total, a 16-inch digital drivers display, an 8.4-inch tablet-style touchscreen infotainment screen in the center console and an optional screen for the passenger that displays vehicle speed, engine RPMs and much more. There is also a new steering wheel that now features capacitive buttons and replaces on buttons, even the even start/stop button is now a capacitive touch button. There is the famous Ferrari Manetinno switch to toggle between different drive modes. The gear selector buttons are also placed in such a way to resemble old Ferrari models with gated shifters. All these new features make the experience more dynamic than before. Ferrari is has also added two tiny seats at the rear which will be suitable for kids but it would be best to use them as extra luggage space.

All these things come with a hefty price tag and Ferrari has also increased the price for 2022 on the Roma by Rs 15 lakhs. But this is not the end as the Roma is powered by Ferrari’s award-winning 3.9L twin-turbo V8 which will give the owners a pure Super-GT experience. The engine is a 3.9L twin-turbo V8 and makes 620HP and 760NM of torque. Its matted to an 8-speed DCT transmission and sends power to the rear wheels. The setup in this configuration is good for a 0-100Kph run in 3.4 seconds and gives the Roma a top speed of 320kph.
