The 2021 BMW X3 xDrive30i SportX launched in India at Rs 56.50 lakh, ex-showroom, India, which is the latest entry-level trim to the X3 lineup for India. To know more keep reading.

Overview

 

With the launch of BMW X3 xDrive30i SportX there is now a new entry-level SUV in the X3 lineup. BMW is also offering additional benefits with this trim to its customers. The purchase has to be made before midnight of February 28, 2021, to avail the offer. The offer includes benefits up to Rs 1.50 lakh. Now talking about the benefits it will be of two types – BMW Service Inclusive Package and the exclusive BMW Accessories Package. The sService package as the name suggests will cover all maintenance work including BMW Original Parts and oil requirements for 3 years/ 40,000 km, while accessory package will provide add ons like BMW Display key, air filter, door LED projectors and universal wireless charger. 2021 BMW X3 xDrive30i SportX powertrain

 

The entry-level BMW X3 is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that has a peak output of 252 HP and 350Nm of torque. This engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox and power is sent to all four wheels via BMW’s trusted xDrive all-wheel-drive system. With the all-wheel-drive system, the X3 can do a claimed 0-100KPH sprint in good 6.3sec. The X3 also comes with a 2.0-L four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine in the xDrive20d Luxury Line variant.

 

2021 BMW X3 xDrive30i SportX Features

 

Talking about features on the new xDrive30i SportX even though its the entry level varaint, it is a premium SUV so it gets loads of equipments. On the interior it gets a large 8.8-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connected as standard, instrument cluster with a 5.7-inch MID display, three-zone automatic climate control, all LED lights with automatic headlights and wipers, panoramic sunroof, large 18-inch alloy wheels to name a few. But as a new entry-level varaint, it misses out on few things that are offered on the new SportX and top-spec varaint Luxury Line, which comes with features like adaptive LED headlights, active suspension, premium 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, wireless phone charging, large 12.3-inch digital instrument console, bigger 10.25-inch infotainment system and larger 19-inch alloy wheels.

2021 BMW X3 xDrive30i SportX vs rivals

 

The new BMW X3 xDrive30i SportX will compete against the likes of  Mercedes-Benz GLC, the Land Rover Discovery Sport , Volvo XC60 which dominates this segment. The new 2021 Audi Q5 will also join this segment later this year.

 

Future BMW Plans

 

Talking about the BMW X3 SUV, BMW India is also preparing to launch the M Performance variant called the X3 M40i xDrive which will be powered by a in line, six-cylinder 3.0-litre twin-turbo petrol engine for that added performance but it will be positioned below top of the lineX3 M SUV with 480 HP prices at Rs 99.90 lakh ex-showroom. 

BMW is also woking on the launch of M Performance variant of the 3 series sedan called the BMW 3 series M340i on 10th March 2021.
