The BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine, when compared to the standard BMW 3 Series, they are almost identical in looks but the new Gran Limousine has longer rear door when looked from side. The Gran Limousine compared to the standard 3 has precisely 110mm longer wheelbase, and that helps for more rear-seat space of almost 43mm.

Now talking about the variants, BMW India will offer the 3 Series Gran Limousine in two variants namely Luxury Line which ranges from Rs 51.50-52.50 Lakh petrol and diesel respectively and a limited M Sport ‘First Edition’ variant priced at Rs 53.90 lakh. The M Sport variant has few cosmetic changes on the outside to make it look more aggressive. It gets blackout accents, different design for the front and rear bumpers that help it look apart from the Standard Gran Limousine. Also the entry-level Luxury Line sits on 17-inch alloy wheels, the M Sport ‘First Edition’ runs on larger 18-inch alloy wheels. BMW is also offering the Gran Limousine with 4 exterior colours to choose from- Carbon black, Cashmere Silver, Melbourne Red and Mineral White.

BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine interior

2021 BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine interior is a direct replica of the standard BMW 3 Series sedan the difference is the use of the different colour scheme for the Gran Limousine. The most noticeable difference is in the rear seat where there is 43mm more legroom for rear passengers compared to the standard 3 Series due to increase of the wheelbase. The seats also get extra cushioning and premium materials for extra comfort.

The interior equipment list of 3 Series Gran Limousine is also similar to that of standard BMW 3 Series. Some of the main highlighted features are a panoramic sunroof, ambient lights, multi-zone climate control, an 8.8-inch touchscreen with BMW’s iDrive infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, 16-speaker Harman Kardon premium sound system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Both the engines come paired with an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. BMW claims the Gran Limousine can do a 0-100kph sprint at 6.2s for the 330Li petrol variant and 7.6s for 330Ld diesel variant. The 2021 BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine, when compared to its rivals is more expensive and the fact is its Rs 8.9 Lakh expensive that the standard BMW 3 Series. It will compete with the likes of Audi A4, Mercedes-Benz C-class, Volvo S60 and Jaguar XE just like its standard 3 Series variant does but the Gran Limousine is the only car in the segment that has a long wheelbase. Its similar how Mercedes E-Class is the only car with longer wheelbase in its segment and it became favourite among buyers as it offered more rear space and comfort. BMW is also working on something like that by focusing more on comfort and rear space and hope they pull that off with the new 3 Series Gran Limousine.
