2023 Tata Harrier and Safari revealed, gets ADAS

For 2023 both the SUVS now gets ADAS and more features, bookings open, to go on sell next month

 

 

Tata Motors has revealed their updated Harrier and Safari SUVs for 2023 which will go on sell next month. The updated features on the SUVs will be ADAS, an all-new infotainment system, new digital instrument console and 360 degree cameras. Tata Motors has started the bookings their flagship SUVs

  1. 2023 Tata Harrier and Safari will get new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system
  2. Both SUVs to get ADAS feature
  3. New 7-inch semi-digital instrument cluster on both SUVs
  4. 360-degree cameras

2023 Tata Harrier and Safari new updates

For 2023 Tata Motors has made some vital updates to both the both SUVs and as such some of the features includes – ADAS with features like forward collision warning, auto emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, high beam assist feature, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, blind spot detection, lane change alert and more. There is also 360-degree camera system. While  panoramic sunroofs were already there on both the cars but the Safari gets ambient lighting on the edges of the sunroof. 

Some other updated that both the SUVs gets is a new 10.25-inch infotainment system replacing the current 8.8-inch unit –  the new touchscreen has a new and better UI and now gets wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Also supports voice commands in six different regional languages. There is also addition of a new 7-inch semi-digital instrument cluster on both the SUVs.

 

2023 Tata Harrier and Safari Mechanical updates

Both the Harrier and Safari since the start was powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbo-diesel engine and for 2023 the same unit powers both the SUVs and it makes 170HP and 350Nm with option of a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox which drives only the front wheels. However, now the engine has been updated to make it Bharat Stage Phase II compliant. Both SUV also gets drive modes with an ESP terrain response system. But, sadly there is still no all-wheel-drive system on any of the SUVs.

2023 Tata Harrier and Safari expected price and their rivals

With all the updated new features and RDE-compliant compliant engine, prices for both the SUVs is expected to rise by Rs 50,000-Rs 1 lakh when compared to pre-facelift models. Tata Motors is also expected to launch the Red Dark Edition for both the SUVs that was showcased at Auto Expo 2023 held in January.

The Tata Harrier rivals other mid-sized SUVs like the recently launched MG Hector and 5-seater version of the Mahindra XUV700, and the much longer Safari rivals the updated MG Hector Plus facelift, the 7-seater version of the Mahindra XUV700, Hyundai Alcazar and the Mahindra Scorpio N.
