The 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace facelift has been today for the international market and gets updated style elements, more safety technology and an enhanced infotainment system. The changes are similar to that of the regular Tiguan.

2021 Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace facelift exterior and interior updates
The 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace gets styling changes just like the regular VW Tiguan facelift that was revealed some days back. The visual updates as part of the facelift can be seen on the front end which is redesigned and now comes with a more prominent grille along with illuminated strips incorporated into it. The Volkswagen emblem is also redesigned for 2021. The Tiguan Allspace Facelift also gets updated LED headlights and now comes with VW’s new interactive IQ Light LED Lights that adapt automatically to different driving conditions. Changes can also be seen on the rear, with newly designed LED taillights and now the “Tiguan” badge is placed to the center of the rear tailgate.
The 2021 Tiguan AllspaceFacelift also gets the IQ Drive Travel Assist system that provides level two autonomous driving assist at speeds of up to 210kph. With the addition of this system there comes the inclusion of autonomous emergency braking (AEB) with pedestrian monitoring, blind-spot monitor, rear time traffic alert, lane-keeping assist function, radar-based adaptive cruise control to name a few.
Now coming to the inside, the layout is similar to the five-seater Tiguan but the Tiguan Allspace being the flagship SUV in the VW line-up it comes with more techs and features. There is the all-new MIB3 infotainment system which comes with features like wireless Apple CarPlay and VW’s We Connect system. Some other features like there is a new Harman Kardon audio system, a new climate control system with touch panels and sliders for controls although manual buttons and knobs are always better choices while driving, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting to name a few. Also, there is a third row of seating, but everything else is similar to the regular Tiguan SUV.
2021 Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace facelift Powertrain details
The Tiguan Allspace Facelift comes with two petrol engine options and a diesel engine with different tunes on offer. The first petrol engines on offer is a 1.5L, four-cylinder TSI engine making 150HP that drives only the front wheels and comes a standard and the other petrol engine options is a 2.0L, four-cylinder TSI unit that comes in two states of tune, 190HP, and 245HP, respectively, and powers all the four wheels. Next comes is a pair of 2.0L diesel engines producing 150HP (with a front-wheel-drive option) and 200HP (with an all-wheel-drive option), respectively. The gearbox on all is a 7-speed DCT transmission with a paddle shifter and various drive modes and terrain functions on offer.
While VW has recently introduced a plug-in hybrid variant for the standard Tiguan along with a high-performance R version making 320HP, there is no news now if the carmaker will do the same with the Allspace.
Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace facelift for India
Volkswagen already offers the pre-facelift Tiguan Allspace in as a CBU unit and was introduced last year in the month of March. However, the carmaker is yet to confirm whether it will bring in the 2021 Tiguan Allspace facelift to the Indian market. Prices for the Allspace currently sold in India start at Rs 34.20 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
