The 2021 Volkswagen T-Roc SUV sales have started again in India and it now priced at Rs 21.35 Lakh. Like before it will be fully imported and is priced Rs 1.36 lakhs higher than the 2020 T-Roc.

2021 Volkswagen T-Roc new features
The 2021 Volkswagen T-Roc is exactly the same car like the 2020 model and it will still be sold as a fully imported car. Now for the 2021 version, the booking amount is Rs 51,000 and deliveries are expected to commence by mid-2021. The first batch of around 1,000 units of VW T-Roc SUV went on sale in India in March 2020 and all sold out in within few months and bookings were closed soon. While the 2020 T-Roc was priced at Rs 19.99 lakh which was Rs 1.36 lakh cheaper than the current model.
The 2021 batch of T-Roc just like the first batch sold last year in India will be made in Volkswagen’s Poland factory and sold be sold as a complete imported unit brought in via CBU route.
2021 Volkswagen T-Roc Powertrain
Being a mid-sized SUV, the T-Roc will be positioned under the Flagship Tiguan Allsapce SUV but will sit above the upcoming mid-sized SUV called the Volkswagen Taigun that will be launched mid-2021.
Since the 2021 T-Roc is the same car like the 2020 model nothing much has changed in terms of the same 150hp, 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol TSI engine will be seen. It comes with cylinder-deactivation technology like before and is paired with a 7-speed DSG gearbox as standard that drive the front wheels.
Volkswagen T-Roc rivals
The Volkswagen T-Roc SUV has no direct rivals in India currently however it will sit above Volkswagen’s upcoming Taigun SUV. In terms of pricing though the T-Roc falls in the category of the new Jeep Compass and Skoda Karoq SUVs.
Volkswagen new cars and SUVs for India
Volkswagen is all set to introduce new cars in India under its India 2.0 campaign. The mid-sized SUV Taigun is Volkswagens’ most important car for the Indian auto market which is due to launch in the coming months. Volkswagen is also planning to bring in the 5-seater version of the Tiguan SUV to India this year and is also planning to bring in a new sedan called Virtus that will be replacing the Vento. More localisation of products will be done for competitive pricing.
