
2021 Tata Altroz iTurbo is launched in India with an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs 7.74 Lakh that goes up to Rs 8.84 Lakh. Along with that Tata motors have also introduced a new top-spec XZ+ variant for Altroz. The Altroz iTurbo will be offered in three variants- XT, XZ and XZ+. Also the XZ+ variant is also offered with a naturally aspirated petrol engine and turbo diesel engine which will be Rs 40,000-45,000 more expensive than the previous top-trim XZ(O) variant. Tata has also revised the price of the Altroz range and has declared that the prices of specially Altroz iTurbo range and the XZ+ variants are all introductory.

2021 Tata Altroz iTurbo and details about Variants
The 2021 Tata Altroz iTurbo is available in three higher trim levels starting from XT, XZ and XZ+ but the standard Tata Altroz with the Petrol engine is offered across all the variants the Altroz with diesel engine is offered in 6 variants respectively.
Tata Motors have priced the Altroz iTurbo Rs 60,000 higher than the equivalent variant with the naturally aspirated petrol engine. But with that extra cash buyers get extra 24HP and 27Nm of torque along with Sport drive mode for the turbo-petrol engine.
The Altroz iTurbo variants are also equipped slightly different than the standard Altroz to make it stand apart. Like the Altroz iTurbo XT variant gets 14-inch steel wheels while the Standard XT variant runs on larger 16-inch steel wheels. There are few more like the Altroz iTurbo XZ gets dual-tone paint scheme with contrast roof as a standard option while the standard Altroz XZ can get it as an extra option. Also the iTurbo XZ and XZ+ variants now come with eight-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, which is much more premium touch than the 6-speaker setup that comes on the standard Altroz XZ and XZ+ variants.
As said earlier when the Altroz iTurbo was unveiled, a new XZ+ top-spec variant was also added to the Altroz line-up that will come equipped with additional equipment like most highlighted one’s are Tata’s connected car tech called iRA, leatherette upholstery, rear fog light, an express cool function to name a few.
Altroz iTurbo Price and Rivals
Way Tata Motors has priced Altzoz iTurbo which ranges between Rs7.74-8.86 Lakh it undercuts its direct rivals in the segment, the VW Polo 1.0 TSI and new Hyundai i20 Turbo. These are the only premium hatchbacks in India that come with Turbo-petrol engines. Now taking about its rivals, the VW Polo that comes equipped with VW’s trusted 1.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol motor that makes 110 HP is priced at Rs 8.34 lakh in manual form top-spec Highline Plus variant while the Hyundai i20 Turbo with 1.0-litre engine making 120 HP and equipped with 6-speed iMT gearbox which is currently priced at Rs 8.80-10.05 lakh ex-showroom, India.
While the 2021 Altroz iTurbo only comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox both the VW Polo and i20 Turbo gets an option for automatic gearboxes. The VW Polo gets a 6-speed torque converter while the i20 Turbo gets a 7-speed DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission). That said Tata Motors is also working on a DCT variant for the Altroz iTurbo but its launch date has not been declared yet.
