The 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV is launched in India and prices range from Rs 57.40 lakh-Rs 63.15 lakh for the GLC 200 with petrol engine and for the diesel GLC 220d 4Matic respectively (ex-showroom, India). 2021 Mercedes GLC SUV new features.
The 2021 Mercedes GLC SUV is based on the facelift model unveiled last year. Starting with the exterior the GLC is offered in two paint schemes- Brilliant Blue and High Tech Silver, other colour options are Cavansite Blue, Hyacinth Red, Obsidian Black, Polar White and Graphite Grey. There are no other cosmetic changes made to the SUV.
Now moving to the interior, where most of the changes had happened, it now gets a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster which replaces the outgoing model’s analogue cluster. It offers 3 display styles namely – Classic, Progressive and Sporty. Other new interior features include front seat massage function which can be controlled by the central infotainment screen. With that the GLC is only Mercedes SUV in India to get massaging front seats as standard even flagship models like the Mercedes G-class gets that as an extra option.
The Mercedes Me Connect or MUX which is essentially the Mercedes connected car tech also gets updated and now come with Amazon Alexa and Google Home integrated to it which will allow owners to control various functions of the SUV via the voice assistant on their Android phones or Echo device by saying “Hey Google” or “Alexa”. Now Owners can also start the GLC SUV remotely via the Mercedes ME app on their smartphone or via voice commands over Google Home or Alexa. The system now also gets additional features like display locations of nearby parking lots on the navigation display and owners can remotely open and close the windows and sunroof. The 2021 Mercedes GLC SUV also gets a 360-degree camera.
With the updates, the price of the new GLC SUV has gone up than the outgoing model, the GLC 220 Petrol is up by Rs 1.56 Lakh and the GLC 220d 4-Matic is up by Rs 2.02 Lakh, respectively.

There are no changes in the Engine options for 2021 GLC and so it will be offered both in petrol and diesel- 2.0-litre 4 cylinders turbo-petrol making 197 HP and 320 NM of torque and a 2.0-litre 4 cylinder diesel engine making 197 HP and 400 NM of torque. Both engines on the GLC 220 and GLC 220d will come paired with Mercedes’ 9-speed automatic gearbox as standard. The diesel also gets a 4Matic all-wheel-drive variant.
Mercedes GLC SUV Rivals
Like before the new Mercedes GLC SUV will go up against other premium SUVs like BMW X3 which is priced from Rs 61.80-62.50 lakh, the diesel Volvo XC 60 priced at Rs 59.90 lakh and Porche Macan which is priced at Rs 69.98 Lakh. It will also be joined later this year by the Audi Q5 facelift. Comparing all the Mercedes GLC SUV is the one that starts at the lowest price.
