BMW India has launched the 2021 BMW 2 Series 220i Gran Coupé M Sport at Rs 40.90 Lakh in India.

BMW India has launched the BMW 2 Series 220i M Sport petrol variant in India Rs 40.90 lakh, ex-showroom, India which is an introductory price. With this BMW has expanded their 2 Series Sedan line-up to 3 variants. Now the Petrol 220i M Sport joins the two diesel variants called the 220d Sport Line and 220d M Sport which were launched in October 2020.

 

  • 2021 BMW 2 Series 220i M Sport launched at an introductory price of Rs 40.90 Lakh and is the only petrol variant.

 

  • 2021 BMW 220i M Sport is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 190 HP.

 

  • Entry-Level BMW Petrol Sedan. 

 

 

BMW 2 Series 220i M Sport Engine

 

The 2 Series 220i M Sport is the only top of the line petrol variant which is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine producing 190HP and 280Nm of torque. The engine is paired to an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox as standard and power go to the front wheels. A 0-100KPH sprint takes 7.1s as claimed by BMW for the 220i M Sport.

 

 

BMW 2 Series 220i M Sport Features

 

Talking about features, the 2021 BMW 220i Gran Coupé M Sport comes equipped with BMWs latest digital instrument cluster, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment with BMW’s iDrive infotainment system, cruise control, paddle shifters, automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers, sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, powered front seats, a rearview parking camera, six airbags, ABS, ESC and traction control as standard.   

Since its top of the line M Sport variant, the 220i gets extra features like a front grille with more chrome inserts, sportier front and rear bumper design, side skirts, ‘M’ badges on the front fenders, black trim on windows. The M Sport also sits on large 18-inch alloys. Additional M Sport features include M Sport Steering wheel and Sport Pedals.

The BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe is the BMW entry-level sedan in India and that said it will compete with entry-level luxury sedans from other makers like the new Mercedes A-class that will be revealed by November this year also and the 2nd-gen Audi A3 Sedan that will be launched sometime soon in 2021.

BMW India is also working on the launch of new BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine on January 21 which will replace the discontinued BMW 3 series, bookings have already started.
